Departing from the Zapatista-Slogan "Everything for everybody‚ÄĒnothing for us!", the exhibition explores the possibilities of a "strategic universalism", that is of a political perspective of equality. Info-walls displaying reflections, photographs and documents as well as art works and investigative videos deal with universalist (identity politics exceeding) politics and perspectives in contemporary activist contexts. The focus lies on queer positions and struggles, strategies and approaches of the Zapatistas and the movement of the precariat.

Three artists (Bini Adamczak, Linda Bilda, Petja Dimitrova) react with drawings to the info-exhibition. Thus, drawings are thematised as a political medium with the possibility of mass dissemination, agitation and education. Alongside the tradition of political drawings in newspapers and on posters the exhibition makes a connection to the history of public drawings/paintings in Mexico, i.e. murals on public buildings (murales) as a means of education for a public with a high rate of illiteracy and drawings on the wooden houses of villages of the Zapatistas.

Co-Curators: Jens Kastner (Zapatistas), Marty Huber and Erika Doucette (Queer), Beat Weber (Precariat)
