The displaying wall at the Klosterneuburg near Vienna, shows information about the treasures kept in a chamber at the monastery.

The idea for the wall came from the antiques “secretary desk”, adding drawers to the wall to make it realistic. The drawers store the materials the treasures at the chamber are made of. This way, it is possible to the visitors to feel the texture through an interactive game of touching the objects they can later just see (not touch) at the treasure-chamber.

According to the “Stifts Atalier”, the wall intends to give children and grown ups the opportunity of using their tactile sense, understanding the meaning and learning the function of these treasures.
